My client has a six month contract role to support current operational and inventory challenges. The Supply Chain Data Analyst role is a crucial position supporting the integrated planning team within the business to identify the best possible focus areas and prioritising these in line with business needs.
Reporting to the Supply Chain and Logistics Director, the analyst will be responsible for providing accurate and robust data analysis to support senior stakeholders in critical business decisions. A keen eye for detail and the ability to present findings in a clear and logical manner is essential.
As directed, the candidate will develop data-based models to assist with the daily and periodic management of the business.
*Agree the key analysis focus areas with the Director and prioritise to achieve the fastest benefit
*Work with other senior members of the integrated planning team to identify methods to analyse and answer queries relating to product throughput and availability
*Support supply chain range rationalisation and manufacturing production decision making processes by analysing demand reports at SKU and site level
*Using VBA and/or MS access and/or MS Excel, quickly, tidily and accurately, provide robust information based on the prioritised target list
*Support senior management by providing output in a format ready to present to senior business stakeholders
Development of Working Models
*Agree model parameters with senior stakeholders
*Using a 'design twice - build once' approach, set about constructing the required models in the agreed format (VBA/MS Access / MS Excel)
*Test Inputs & Outputs of the models
You will be extremely proficient in conducting deep data interrogation, analysis and Model Building. With a background in similar activities for other organisations, you will have a very keen eye for detail and will be extremely methodical in your approach to work.
*Clear, demonstrable experience of conducting detailed meta-data analysis using Data modelling tools such as VBA, Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel
*Experience of analysis in a multi-site business, with a range of several thousand SKUs
*Ability to work independently to produce rapid but accurate answers to the queries posed by the management team
*Excellent spoken and written communication skills to present findings
