We've been tasked on an exclusive basis to fill an interim role with this fantastic Financial Services firm based in Central Bristol.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Compliance Monitoring team on a fixed term basis and gain an unparalleled understanding of the entire business in a role that involves helping to improve the way we manage compliance.

There are a huge number of rules that the business is required to follow. You will be responsible for conducting analysis to determine whether the steps we are taking to comply with the rules are adequate. You will ultimately be helping to empower people to save and invest with confidence.

As well as conducting analysis, the role involves communicating results with key people at all levels of the organisation and where necessary agreeing an appropriate course of action.

This opportunity will suit a bright, highly motivated person who has a real desire to learn and continually improve. You will have a proven track record of conducting assurance work.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Designing effective testing programmes
*Conducting regular and thematic assessments of the controls designed to prevent the business from failing to comply
*Communicating results to key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
*Assist in agreeing appropriate actions to address any weaknesses identified
*Following up on the actions agreed to ensure that any findings identified are addressed

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate will be immediately available or on short notice and possess the following:

*Accounting or audit related qualifications desirable or qualified by experience
*Financial Services related qualifications desirable or qualified by experience

KNOWLEDGE
*Knowledge of financial regulation
*Understanding of risk management frameworks
*Experience working with rules and regulations
*Min. two years' compliance monitoring / internal audit experience

SKILLS
*Can present ideas to others in an influential way
*Be able to analyse information and reach objective conclusions
*Can observe, listen and challenge in a constructive way
*Can identify practical solutions to problems
*Advanced Excel / analytic skills
*Skilled at understanding and analysing data
