Title: Assistant HR Business Partner

Location: Bristol / South West Region

My client is looking to bring on an enthusiastic and forward thinking Assistant HR Business Partner who will be supporting the HR function across the South East of England in our fast division.

The Role
*Support the HR Business Partner in the implementation of a commercially focussed, legally compliant people plan for the Business Unit and to ensure the delivery of a customer centric and business supportive HR service.
*Work collaboratively with customers, alliance and joint venture partners to support the implementation of people plans within contracts
*Implement Group HR policies, procedures and values
*Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential stakeholders. Know the people and understand the' health' of the business
*Maintain resourcing schedules to assist key stakeholders with informed decisions on resourcing, ensuring full and effective deployment of staff at all levels of the organisation.
*Work with the Resourcing Business Partner and Recruiting Managers to provide support and expert knowledge on use of Taleo recruitment process. Support managers with assessment, interviewing and selection as appropriate.
*Assist HRBP with the implementation of effective plans to enhance employee engagement in the business area.
*Proactively manage and advise issues on absence, long term ill health, liaising with Occupational Health professionals as appropriate.
*Assist operations team with maximising staff capability and competency within the business area by providing advice on positive performance management
*Assisting HRBP with organisational restructure, specifically in TUPE situations
*To work in conjunction with Group HR functions to provide best practice advice and support across the business stream.
*Supporting Employee Relations activity, providing management with advice and support in disciplinary, grievance and appeal situations, including support in meetings and active case management
*Work with HR Shared Service to provide appropriate people Management Information to inform and drive business performance
*Work proactively with HR Shared Service to provide seamless transactional support to the business stream
*Assisting with HR projects and initiatives within the business unit as required to ensure delivery of the HR plan.

The Individual
*CIPD qualified to any level with ambition to grow
*HR experience in an operational role
*Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
*Experience of dealing with disciplinary, grievance and appeal meetings
*Experience of working with an HR Shared Service team
*Commercial awareness and business understanding
*Strong teamwork ethic and the ability to work across teams
*Personal desire to drive change and make things happen
