*Lead development, to deliver projects to time and budget, developing n-tier component based designs, using OO development methodologies, in a Service Oriented Architecture. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of delivering robust, high availability, transactional web applications. They will be enthusiastic and pro-active, with the drive and commitment to work effectively in an environment championing significant change.
*The candidate will have significant development experience, including object oriented design & development skills gained in a .NET and web services environment, as well as having extensive experience covering all aspects of the development life cycle; preferably gained in the Financial sector. The candidate will have had experience of mentoring and developing more junior staff.
Required skills/ Education:
*Several years solid development experience on transactional web applications, preferably gained in a financial services environment
*A proven track record of delivering and supporting mission critical eBusiness applications, plus integration with transactional platforms and databases
*Solid experience of application development in a .NET, Web Services SOA environment, using specifically:
oDevelopment & deployment of Azure, cloud-base applications o Single-sign on, plus integration with Windows Directory Services
oC# v5 - 7.3 [.Net Framework v4.5 - 4.7.2]
oVisual Studio 2012/2015/2017
oSQL Server 2012/2016/2017
oT-SQL stored procedures
oXML, W3C Schema, SOAP, and Web Services
oBest practices and Design Patterns
oMicrosoft Enterprise Application Blocks
*Solid database design experience/data modelling, for SQL Server
*Experience of automated testing tools, such as Nunit
*Experience of source & version control tools, VS Team Foundation Server
*Knowledge of the design of secure and maintainable web sites and web service applications in a SOA environment
*Ability to liaise with and manage expectations
*Full development lifecycle experience, including implementation plans
*Minimum 3-years' experience in a team leadership role
*Attention to detail
*Well organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated
*Used to enhancing customer (B2C) and business (B2B) portals
*Has worked in an agile-based delivery team
*Broad understanding of related server and network technologies and architectures
*Experience of integrating web-based applications and transactional applications
*Knowledge of Selenium would be desirable but not essential
