This was a role we really enjoyed working on. Having got to know our client well, and having had some really solid, in-depth conversations about where they wanted to take the business (from a number of perspectives) it was clear this would be no easy hire. A big part of what we needed to do was to truly understand where we would find the level of talent required, and how we would drill down to the detail of what they had achieved and were capable of.

We set aside good time to research the market; who was doing great things out there in the space of engagement? What business outcomes was the engagement strategy driving? Who were our target candidates within those businesses? How would we position our assignment with them? We approached a number of people for open and exploratory conversations and navigated our way to clear and strong shortlist.

Along the way we learned – and passed to our client – much about what was happening in the engagement space within some leading global companies. We were open, too, at our client’s request, with what they were doing. This level of conversation allowed us to offer some real consultative judgement and value, the sort of advice and input that helps both candidate and client really get something from the recruitment process and helps them make informed decisions.
